Great Tile Work Is About What You Can't See

Anyone can make tile look good on day one. Making it last means getting the hidden parts right: a solid, flat base so tiles don't crack, full mortar coverage so they don't come loose, and proper waterproofing in showers so water never reaches the framing. Those are the steps we never rush.

Tile We Install

  • Floor tile

Porcelain, ceramic and large-format tile for kitchens, baths, entries and mudrooms.

  • Wall tile

Bathroom walls, tub surrounds and feature walls.

  • Natural stone

Travertine, marble, slate and other stone, installed and sealed to protect it.

  • Tile showers

Complete tile showers with proper waterproofing, niches and clean finished edges.

  • Backsplashes

Kitchen and bathroom backsplashes, from classic subway to herringbone and mosaics.

Kitchen & Bathroom Backsplashes

A backsplash is small, but it's right at eye level, so every cut shows. We plan the layout around outlets, windows and cabinet lines so the pattern lands evenly, then finish edges cleanly where the tile meets cabinets and counters.

How We Install Tile

  1. Demolition, removal and disposal of the old tile or flooring (included).
  2. Subfloor and substrate prep: solid, flat and suitable for tile, leveled where needed.
  3. Waterproofing in showers and wet areas.
  4. Layout planning: balanced cuts, centered patterns, straight lines.
  5. Setting: the right mortar and trowel for the tile size, with leveling systems for large-format tile.
  6. Grouting and sealing as the product requires, then cleanup and a final walkthrough.

Tile Installation FAQs

Do you build complete tile showers?

Yes. We install complete tile showers, including waterproofing, niches, and clean finished edges.

What's the difference between porcelain and ceramic tile?

Porcelain is denser and absorbs less water, which makes it more durable and better for floors and wet areas. Ceramic is lighter and often more affordable, which makes it great for walls and backsplashes.

Does natural stone need special care?

Most natural stone needs to be sealed at installation and resealed periodically. We'll explain the care your stone needs.

Why do tiles crack?

Most cracked tile comes from movement or flex in the floor beneath it, or from poor mortar coverage. Proper substrate prep and full coverage prevent it.

How long does a tile installation take?

Tile takes longer than plank flooring because mortar and grout need time to cure. A backsplash may take a day or two; showers and large floors take longer. You'll get a timeline with your estimate.
